The major publisher/distributors are participating in our service and reaping the business benefits of electronic trading. However, there are thousands of distributors of all sizes in the supply chain who do not currently trade electronically with their customers and we are working closely with the industry to help them move to electronic trading. Our Online Order Collection service allows smaller suppliers to compete on the same level as their larger competitors and for distributors who receive less than 2,000 order lines per annum – the service is FREE. There are now over 20,000 suppliers collecting their orders online and providing booksellers with order acknowledgements and current title status informaiton - allowing booksellers to improve their customer services.
BookNet Web allows you to receive orders and trade electronically with most major chains and wholesalers and the service allows you to send order acknowledgements, delivery notes, invoices and credit notes.

The level of sophistication and integration into your back-office systems is dependent on your business needs. We work closely with the major publisher system suppliers and can help you move your business forward using BookNet Transaction Services and other software applications.
If you self-distribute your titles or those of other publishers then our order routing service TeleOrdering needs to be set to route orders to you automatically. In order to keep this database up-to-date, you must keep our Trade Data Team fully informed.
